Tzatziki Cucumber Slices are a light, refreshing, and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. With the creamy tang of tzatziki sauce and the crunch of fresh cucumber, they’re perfect for parties, lunches, or healthy snacking.
Ingredients:
- 1 large cucumber, sliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional toppings: chopped fresh parsley, cherry tomato halves, or crumbled feta cheese
Instructions:
Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate the tzatziki sauce for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Slice the Cucumber:
- Wash and dry the cucumber. Slice it into 1/4-inch thick rounds and arrange them on a serving platter.
Assemble the Cucumber Slices:
- Use a small spoon or piping bag to dollop a generous amount of tzatziki sauce onto each cucumber slice.
Garnish and Serve:
- Top each slice with your choice of garnish, such as parsley, cherry tomato halves, or crumbled feta cheese.
- Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Tips:
- For a less watery tzatziki, grate the cucumber (before slicing) and squeeze out the excess moisture before mixing it into the sauce.
- Use mini cucumbers or English cucumbers for a sweeter, less bitter flavor.
- These can be prepared a few hours in advance; just assemble closer to serving time to maintain the crunch.
