Charcuterie Chips are a creative and delicious twist on classic appetizers. They combine crispy potato chips with savory charcuterie toppings, cheese, and other flavorful additions, making them perfect for parties or snacking.
Ingredients:
- 1 bag (8 ounces) kettle-cooked potato chips
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced salami or prosciutto
- 1/4 cup diced olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped roasted red peppers (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
Layer the Chips:
- Spread the potato chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Overlapping slightly is fine.
Add Toppings:
- Sprinkle the Parmesan and cheddar (or Gruyère) cheese evenly over the chips.
- Add slices of salami or prosciutto, diced olives, and roasted red peppers on top of the cheese.
Bake:
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using) and fresh parsley. Serve immediately while warm.
Tips:
- Experiment with different cheeses, such as fontina or blue cheese, for a unique flavor.
- Add a drizzle of honey or balsamic glaze for a sweet-savory twist.
- Use thick, sturdy potato chips to hold the toppings better.
