Turmeric Chicken & Avocado Wraps: A Healthy & Anti-Inflammatory Meal

These Turmeric Chicken & Avocado Wraps are flavorful, protein-packed, and anti-inflammatory, thanks to the turmeric-spiced chicken and creamy avocado. Perfect for a quick lunch or meal prep!


Ingredients:

For the Turmeric Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the Wraps:

  • 4 whole wheat or spinach tortillas
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce or baby spinach
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, mix turmeric, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  • Add chicken strips, toss to coat, and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

2. Make the Avocado Spread:

  • In a small bowl, mash avocado with Greek yogurt, lime juice, and salt.

3. Assemble the Wraps:

  • Spread avocado mixture on each tortilla.
  • Add shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and feta cheese.
  • Top with turmeric chicken strips.
  • Wrap tightly and slice in half.

4. Serve:

  • Enjoy immediately or wrap in foil for meal prep or a grab-and-go lunch.
