Buffalo Chicken Dip: The Ultimate Party Appetizer

Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and spicy party favorite made with shredded chicken, tangy buffalo sauce, and melted cheese. Perfect for game days or gatherings, it pairs wonderfully with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: Chopped green onions or crumbled blue cheese for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
  3. Assemble the Dip:

    • Spread the mixture evenly into a baking dish or cast-iron skillet. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions or crumbled blue cheese if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Tips:

  • For extra creaminess, add 1/4 cup sour cream to the mixture.
  • Use blue cheese dressing instead of ranch for a more traditional buffalo flavor.
  • Make it in a slow cooker: Combine all ingredients and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
